[The Financial News] The FKI Center for Large and Small Business Cooperation (FKILSC) announced that FKILSC held the ‘2024 1st Management Doctor System Launching Ceremony’ at the FKI Tower Conference Center on the 27th. The Management Doctor System, which began in 2007, is a program for the shared growth of large and small businesses in which FKI management advisory group members, who are former corporate executives, provide on-site consultation to partner companies for six months to resolve management difficulties and enhance competitiveness. Currently, about 200 former executives and experts from large companies are active.
In the first Management Doctor System in 2024, 13 large and middle-market enterprises and 16 partner companies will participate. By September, 32 FKI management expert committee members will provide customized solutions to meet the needs of partner companies, including △ improving business processes △ pioneering new markets △ introducing environmental, social and governance (ESG) management.
Meanwhile, at the launching ceremony on this day, excellent consulting cases of companies participating in the 2023 2nd Management Doctor System were introduced. Hyosung Chemical's partner, EA PHOS, produces solvent extractants and water treatment materials for recycling precursor raw materials (cobalt, nickel, lithium, etc.) for cathode materials used in secondary batteries, but the company had been having difficulty pioneering new markets. EA PHOS participated in the 2nd Management Doctor System in 2022 and received a solution to obtain ISO certification through consulting for 1 year and 6 months. As the technology was verified, annual sales of KRW 1.2 billion in 2022 increased by 150% in just one year, reaching KRW 3 billion.
CEO Moon Yong-su said, “The advisory committee members asked me the question, ‘why I’m doing business’, and I felt like I had hit the nail on the head because I couldn’t answer anything. Since then, this question has been a clue to solving problems whenever the difficult issues arise regarding products, technology, workplaces, and people.” He expressed his gratitude by saying, “Thanks to the Management Doctor System, I was able to broaden my perspective on business, and I will repay you with a more developed performance."
Director of the FKILSC Center, Choo Kwang-ho, said, "The FKILSC center will continue to promote win-win cooperation between large and small companies and carry out various projects such as ESG consulting and briefing sessions on overseas expansion of small and medium-sized companies so that domestic companies can become competitive in the global market."
